I've been able to use Aperture, but will have to learn a new workflow with it. Roadscum - thanks, I'll try that with silkypix. I, for instance, can Tag, and preview the in Picasa 3.0. I use Adobe DNG converter to convert the RAW files into DNG, so I can the edit them in DNG compatible software edit tools. You might have to register the initial installation on the silkypix website first, i can't remember. I haven't had any problems getting updates for silkypix, though you do need to uninstall older versions before installing the new one. I'm afraid I dont know anything about Gimp, but why do you say Photoshop CS4 does not recognise RAW updates? I use usually use Lightroom 4 for RAW conversion and then any further editing required in photoshop on the TIFF.īut I can use photoshop and adobe camera raw to edit the RAW files from my GX1. If anyone cares, I can post some images/screen caps to show you.
What is happening is that I get a message in Gimp that the file is corrupt, but it opens it and all down the right edge, sure enough there's nothing but noise. Has anyone else tried using Gimp w/ their GX1? I ask because the version of SilkyPix is woefully out of date, cannot get an update from them, Photoshop (CS4) is NOT recognizing the RAW updates and I'm a little frustrated trying to get to my RAW files.
